Job Description:

We’re looking for a Men’s Sportswear Designer, a creative force with a refined eye, deep product knowledge, and a passion for designing elevated menswear that moves. At Artisan Creative, we specialize in connecting standout creative talent with innovative companies across the fashion, digital, and marketing spaces. If you’re ready to bring your vision to life within a collaborative, fast-moving team, we’d love to connect!

This is a full-time, hybrid (four days onsite) role based in Los Angeles, CA. Please note that we are currently considering candidates based in Los Angeles, CA.

About Our Client:

  • A leading apparel company with a strong foothold in the men’s sportswear market, known for blending trend relevance with commercial viability
  • A culture built on cross-functional collaboration, creative ambition, and a commitment to quality at scale
  • A growing division with the momentum and infrastructure to support bold, innovative design thinking

Your Background & Expertise:

  • A seasoned menswear designer with 5+ years crafting elevated sportswear collections across wovens, knits, and soft-structure categories
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and PLM systems, with a sharp eye for translating trend into commercially viable product
  • A confident communicator and presenter who thrives in collaborative environments and knows how to move product from concept to shelf

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the creative direction and seasonal execution of men’s sportswear collections — from initial concept through final line plan
  • Develop trend-driven color stories, assortments, and detailed flat sketches that reflect both brand DNA and customer expectations
  • Build thorough technical design packages and manage file development through Adobe Illustrator and PLM platforms
  • Work closely with merchandising, technical design, product development, and sourcing teams to deliver brand-right product at the right margin
  • Present seasonal concepts and design direction to internal stakeholders and external partners with clarity and confidence
  • Partner during fittings to safeguard aesthetic integrity and construction standards throughout development
  • Stay plugged into fashion, cultural, and retail trends to ensure the line stays fresh and relevant

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Deep knowledge of menswear construction across both wovens and knits, with the ability to develop compelling multi-category assortments
  • Hands-on experience designing for contemporary or elevated brands, with an understanding of affordable price point constraints
  • Strong presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills — you’re as comfortable in a fitting room as you are in a stakeholder review
  • Bonus points for a passion for fabric sourcing, sustainable design practices, or emerging apparel technologies
