This is a freelance role for a six-month duration with the possibility of extenstion and the work setup will be remote. Please note that we are currently considering candidates based in California.

Your Background & Expertise:
- 3+ years of hands-on instructional design experience with a strong portfolio spanning eLearning and instructor-led training
- Confident, fluent user of Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) with the technical chops to build polished, interactive content end to end
- A curious, self-directed professional who thrives in remote environments, manages multiple priorities gracefully, and brings thoughtful solutions to complex learning challenges
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead end-to-end design and development of learning programs using the ADDIE framework — from initial analysis through evaluation and iteration
- Build engaging, modality-flexible training assets including eLearning modules, ILT/VILT sessions, storyboards, facilitator guides, job aids, and assessments
- Partner closely with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to surface learning objectives and translate them into clear, effective instructional strategies
- Own the full production lifecycle — scoping, prototyping, refining, and supporting deployment across target audiences
- Design evaluation frameworks that capture learner feedback and performance data, then use those insights to continuously sharpen content quality
- Show up as a collaborative, communicative team member who contributes ideas and elevates the overall learning function
- Solid grounding in adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and ADDIE — with real-world programs to show for it
- Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Camtasia, and Microsoft Office 365
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels
- Highly organized with strong time management — you own your deadlines and deliver quality work in a high-volume environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Bonus points for: experience with the Degreed platform, graphic design or multimedia skills (Adobe Audition, Premiere, Photoshop), SharePoint Online, or Financial Services industry experience
