Job Description:

We’re currently looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer with expertise in Chinese character design, a detail-oriented creative with a passion for typography, logo development, and cultural authenticity. This is a freelance, short-term opportunity (approximately three weeks to one month) and will be hybrid at our client’s Los Angeles, CA office. At this time, we are only considering candidates located in Los Angeles, CA.

Your Expertise:

  • Native-level fluency in Chinese, with a deep understanding of character structure, history, and modern applications.
  • Strong background in typography, logo design, and iconography specific to Chinese characters.
  • Ability to merge creative design skills with cultural insight to produce authentic, innovative work.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and customize Chinese character–based logos, icons, and typographic assets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper usage of Chinese characters across branded materials.
  • Apply design expertise to provide content while ensuring cultural and linguistic accuracy.
  • Deliver polished, production-ready assets within tight timelines.


Requirements:

  • Native Chinese speaker with fluency in both written and spoken Chinese.
  • Proven graphic design experience designing with Chinese characters in logos, typography, and branding.
  • Must be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing Chinese character–based design work.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to adapt to evolving project needs.
