FL Design Systems Lead | Job # 13609
May 30, 2023Three Month Duration $30-$55/ hour DOEArtisan Creative is seeking a Freelance Design Lead, specifically with experience in Design Systems, to join our fintech client’s team for a 3-month assignment (approximate end date will be mid-August). This opportunity is freelance and will be entirely remote. We are currently seeking California residents for this opportunity only.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing and enhancing scalable design systems built in Figma. You will infuse best practices for creating and governing best-in-class design systems. You will partner directly with the front-end developers to create scalable designs that drive the adoption of the framework and provide the best experience for our clients and their customers.
Additionally, you will create, document, and communicate design best practices to the development team. Help communicate the importance of adopting the design system, and
establish strong guidelines that govern how to use the design system
to ensure that all components meet high accessibility standards.
- Must be an expert in working with Figma
- Strong experience building atoms, molecules, and components systems that are product specific
- Strong experience building UI kits and the accompanying documentation for the dev teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of front-end development is a plus
- Must stay within and build upon the existing baseline design systems
