Artisan Creative is hiring a full-time account director to join a small yet highly creative advertising agency in West LA. This is a position for someone who thrives in a role where you have the opportunity to wear many hats. You’ll work global accounts with campaigns including pop culture icons, technology companies and nonprofits.
As the account director, you will combine client management with project management and be the leader in client relations and in internal administration of accounts. The account team will look to you for support, guidance and counsel.
The Account Director manages a book of business that may be one large client or several smaller clients. To be successful, this individual is responsible for being the “ultimate” marketing consultant to the client and is charged with all general management aspects of the team, including team collaboration, team harmony, big-picture strategic thinking, and financial performance
Leads strategic thinking for account, creative and new technologies
Develops specific, measurable client business objectives
Views strategic goals in a broader business context
Establishes priorities for key agency projects
Collaborates with finance and management to draft, negotiate and reconcile client retainer agreements.
Ensures proper team resource management and adherence to contract terms
Delivers revenue growth goals established in conjunction with executive management
Prepares financial P&L reports by job and account on a timely basis
Successfully represents the Client’s point of view when reviewing work and leverages this perspective when providing feedback to all parties. Ultimately focused on doing the best work for the client’s business
Effectively plan and organize the work of you and your team – handling multiple projects efficiently, effectively and productively
Provide effective and efficient oversight of agency resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and client organizations.
At least 10 years of experience in client services.
At least 5 years of agency experience.
Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and provide timely feedback to keep work on budget and schedule.
Proven leadership skills-we want someone who can move a project forward while still taking the time to foster the talents of the awesome account and creative teams while encouraging team camaraderie.
