3D Artist | Job #12958March 29, 2020 6 Months Hourly DOE
Artisan Creative is currently looking for a 3D Artist with expertise in modeling and texturing for our client in the global app space for a six-month freelance position. This role is temporarily remote and will be an on-site role in LA when circumstances allow.
In this role, you will utilize your 3D modeling and texturing expertise to help our team create new app assets and experiences. With specific technical and aesthetic guidelines, you will create high and low polygon models of 3D characters, clothes, accessories, and props.
The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously and complete tasks within tight production schedules. You have a good eye when it comes to organic shapes as well as experience working with tools such as Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, and Substance Painter.
- Work closely with designers, character riggers, and animators while showing a general understanding of each department
- Collaborate with prototypers and engineers to create and develop new products to bring to market
- Problem solve any technical limitations and issues using creative and resource-efficient solutions
- At least 2 years experience working with tools such as Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, and Substance Painter or other projection-based texturing software
- 2+ years practical understanding of topology in using edge loops for deformation
- Experience with real-time engines such as Unreal 4 and Unity
