Case Study: McGraw-Hill Children's Publishing
Project Title: Project Category: Managing tight deadlines is crucial to project success, a perspective you'll find entirely supported by McGraw-Hill. With a new art director and editorial team, McGraw-Hill Children's Publishing found themselves with 200+ projects that needed to be executed in an extremely short period of time. We were given more than 100 of these projects including 55 activity books and 50 book cover illustrations. We quickly assembled a team of sixteen designers and production artists, four to work in-house at Artisan and the remaining designers to work off-site. Our project manager coordinated all assets and copy as well as managing proofreading and trafficking to make sure deadlines were being met. We also created FTP accessibility, which greatly improved logistics and expedited the approval process. This type of precise project management proved invaluable, establishing a rapid synchronization with the client and enabling all aspects of the assignment to be delivered on deadline. The work ultimately lead to a series of design templates that are still helping shape the look and feel of a number of the books today. Additional Case Studies: |
